Magical yoga & beach retreat in Goa, India

16th to 23rd February 2025 / Goa, India

Join me once again as I return to the magical Bamboo Yoga Retreat

Located in the stunning area Polem in Southern Goa, it’s the perfect, spiritual place for a deep and powerful journey to reset and upgrade your mind and body. This week retreat is the perfect escape as we enjoy time together to deepen our practice and relax at the beautiful retreat centre and beach.

Retreat programme

Join Jess for a yoga retreat at this very special place with two fully equipped, shaded yoga shalas overlooking the beach with breathtaking views and a sea breeze to keep you cool. An opportunity to dive deeply into your yoga practice in simple surroundings and restore your elemental balance.

Each day will begin with a morning class of meditation and flowing asana to gently open the body and attune the mind to the breath. The afternoon class will be more restorative and often include yin yoga, pranayama, meditation or yoga nidra.

Between classes there will be time to relax on the beach, swim in the sea or take a massage. There will be two yoga-free half days when you can head out and explore or take a boat trip in search of dolphins at sunrise or sunset, included as part of the retreat.

About Bamboo Yoga Retreat

We cannot wait to return to magical Bamboo Retreat on the peaceful and unspoilt beach of Polem in Southern Goa.

Polem is a beautiful secluded beach with a long sweeping crescent of golden sand sheltered by rocky headlands. From the beach you can see a tiny island out to sea and reach other secluded beaches by boat or on foot.

The tranquil retreat is located on the beach close to a small village for the perfect authentic Goan experience and low key nights of music around the beach fire. The more lively areas for a night out are just a short drive away so you can experience all the vibrancy and colourful energy that Goa has to offer.

“Returned refreshed, happy and recentred. The “beach huts” are luxurious, the setting like being stranded on a tropical island and the food of exceptional quality. Our wonderful Yoga teacher Jess Horn introduced us to the power of Indian Goddesses during our Yoga sessions which made the whole experience even more magical.” Sabina

YOGA

The yoga sessions will be carefully curated to prepare and support you for the breath sessions. We will open the body, the muscles and tissues associated with our diaphragm and through slow, and thoughtful sequences the mind will also open and quieten allowing us fuller participation.

The morning sessions will involve more movement, inviting in space and for mind and body. The evening sessions will be deeply nourishing and grounding, giving time to journey inwards and process the days experiences.

Sessions will be suitable for all levels of experience and modifications will be given for those that need.

MEDITATION

Yogis have know about the benefits of Meditation for thousands of years and recently scientists have been able to back this up and show how meditation can help us re- wire our brains to work better! Instead of our minds ruling us, we can utilise the power of our minds and direct our thoughts to more positive places. We can feel calmer, clearer, more productive and sleep better amongst other benefits.

We will explore easy, yet powerful ancient techniques, to help cope with the trials of the modern world and find greater inner peace and clarity.
