Weekend Yoga Retreat in the Cotswolds, UK

1 November - 3 November 2024 / Gloucestershire Countryside, UK

Set in stunning countryside, Pauntley Court, dating back to the 1300’s, offers a tranquil escape in a stunning location. Steeped in history, it is the birthplace of Dick Whittington and was home to Elinor Fettiplace. The house is full of character and offers luxury accommodation with far reaching views across the surrounding countryside.

Walk in the exquisite gardens, choose a bench to read your book, or simply get lost in the views. Just two hours from London and only one hour from Bristol and Birmingham, Pauntley Court is perfectly located for a weekend of yoga as you fill up on fresh air and nature.

The first class will be on Friday evening, followed by a delicious dinner. Jess will then lead you through two classes on the Saturday, a more dynamic morning class to align to body and breath and an afternoon practice to delve deeper into the postures and relax and restore.

On Sunday there will be morning practices, breakfast and lunch and plenty of time in between for relaxation and walks.

Arrival time on Friday 1 November is from 4pm onwards. The first yoga session will be at 5.30pm. The weekend will finish on Sunday 3 November after lunch at 2pm.

The surrounding area is perfect for a long country walk or if you fancy exploring further afield you can take a trip to Gloucester’s historic cathedral and docks or add a day of walking in the Malvern Hills. There will be massages on offer in the free time and comfy sofas where you can curl up with a good book.

“I really loved the weekend. The house was beautiful: impressive yet relaxing, we were made to feel thoroughly at home, with deep sofas and huge open fires. It was encouraging to be just given the run of the house and grounds, just as if we really lived there! The yoga was amazing. Jess was very knowledgeable, weaving in great wisdom and care into the practices. Over the course of the weekend she gave us practices that could be very challenging, some that were fast and energetic, others very slow and powerful and yet others that were deeply relaxing.”
