A day of empowerment and mindset

Step out of your routine and into the Narnia-like beauty of Wasing Park. 

Do you sometimes feel like you are moving through life on automatic, like things can pass you by? Perhaps you feel low on energy and find it hard to make healthy changes and implement new healthy habits?

Step out of your routine and into a day dedicated to your wellbeing, a day designed to help you implement small yet profound changes and shifts to your mindset and daily routines, to help you feel elevated and invite in more joy and energy.

We will start the day with Yoga and Somatic movement, Breathwork and Yoga Nidra, to land in our bodies and soothe our nervous systems. Sharing some nourishing Cacao to help open our hearts you will be lead through some self-reflection and journalling to help us understand our patterns better and begin to form an intention to move forwards with.

We will share a delicious vegetarian lunch (gluten free options are available) after which we will be led in a silent walk through the stunning Wasing woods and en route we will spend some time connecting and immersing with nature and the trees, which has been scientifically shown to boost our immune system, improve sleep, increase energy levels, reduce stress, and improve mental wellbeing.

Arriving at a beautiful lake and wood-fired sauna, we will experience a Cold-water Immersion and Sauna experience. NO experience is necessary for this and it’s such an invigorating and empowering experience!

In the afternoon, we will practice Yin and Restorative yoga and allow all tension and stress to melt away, and conclude the day with a powerful Crystal Sound bath.

Jess will share some simple but powerful tools that you can easily implement into your lives to create change in mind and body. You will receive a follow up email including the tools and practices we share on the day and recommended reading to help you implement and build further on this day of empowerment and inner strength.

VENUE

All the Yoga and Breathing sessions take place in a light and airy room set amongst a walled garden. Yoga mats, bolsters and blankets are all provided but you are more than welcome to bring your own yoga equipment should you prefer. The floor to ceiling window open out so on sunny days these are flung open to let the morning fresh air in. Late afternoon and evening sessions, the room is heated to ensure the deepest relaxation.

Wasing Park is nestled in the Narnia-esque style Woodlands with 3 stunning lakes to wander around or dip in for wild swims. The winding paths make for a magical jaunt and the perfect chance for you fully reconnect with Nature. Every corner you turn here at Wasing will connect you either with ancient trees, wildlife, newly blooming flowers, and everything in between.

HOW YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME

The day includes:

Yoga, Meditation, Breathwork, Yoga nidra, Sound Bath, Cold Water Immersion, Wood-fired Sauna, Nature Immersion, Nourishing & tasty lunch (gluten free option available), Herbal teas & delicious sweet treats, Cacao

YOGA

The yoga sessions will be carefully curated to prepare and support you for the breath sessions. We will open the body, the muscles and tissues associated with our diaphragm and through slow, and thoughtful sequences the mind will also open and quieten allowing us fuller participation.

The sessions will involve more movement, inviting in space and for mind and body. Further sessions will be deeply nourishing and grounding, giving time to journey inwards and process the days experiences.

Sessions will be suitable for all levels of experience and modifications will be given for those that need.

MEDITATION

Yogis have know about the benefits of Meditation for thousands of years and recently scientists have been able to back this up and show how meditation can help us re- wire our brains to work better! Instead of our minds ruling us, we can utilise the power of our minds and direct our thoughts to more positive places. We can feel calmer, clearer, more productive and sleep better amongst other benefits.

We will explore easy, yet powerful ancient techniques, to help cope with the trials of the modern world and find greater inner peace and clarity.

COLD WATER IMMERSION & SAUNA

One of the many highlights of Wasing is their beautiful swimming lake and  authentic Scandinavian sauna, and we will be making full use if it!

Cold water therapy has become hugely popular in recent years, and for good reason. Benefits include enhancing blood circulation, supporting a strong immune system, reducing inflammation, boosting energy levels and helps balance mental health. And the heat from the sauna only enhances these benefits. Most people report feeling invigorated after a cold plunge, and for many it becomes quite addictive!

NO experience is necessary for this and it’s such an invigorating and empowering experience!

YIN, RESTORATIVE & CRYSTAL SOUNDBATH

The afternoon will be focused purely on relaxation and rest to allow tension and stress to melt away.

Jess will combine the powerful practices of Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and her Crystal bowls to help you reach even deeper levels of relaxation. The slow holds of Yin and Restorative Yoga allow our minds and bodies to let go, give us a chance to find stillness and peace and physically lets us find deeper release in the muscle fascia.

If you have never experiences a soundbath before, you are in for a treat! The vibration of the bowls flow over you and reverberate within your body to really help the final bits of tension let go. You’ll be left feeling unbelievably relaxed and restored!

Massage Therapist and Wellbeing Coordinator at Wasing Estate

Having found huge support in her personal journey through yoga, meditation and breathwork over the last 20 years, she is passionate about holding space for people to enable them to take a pause from the business of life and reconnect to their inner selves.

Tania is currently studying to become a certified Forest Bathing instructor and has a keen interest in providing people with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the healing properties of nature.

Yoga and Meditation Teacher

Jess is a Senior Yoga Teacher, teaching workshops and leading retreats across the world, a Yoga Teacher Trainer and Teachers Mentor.

Practicing for over 20 years, she has found it to be an empowering, transformational and supportive practice and is passionate about sharing the tools that support her in living a more Empowered and Conscious life, with others

Particularly interested in teaching meditation, movement and mindfulness which she feel’s is so necessary to help deal with the challenges of modern living.

Jess skilfully provides a space where everyone feels comfortable, and can challenge themselves safely, whether they are complete beginners, or more experienced yogis.

Jess is also a fully certified Sound Healer and loves to share the profound and magical experiences of the Alchemy Crystal Bowls

Jess has been featured several times in Yoga Magazine, OM magazine and collaborates regularly with YogaMatters.
