Join us on a deep and powerful journey to reset and upgrade your mind and body magical Bamboo Yoga Retreat centre in the stunning area Polem in Southern Goa.

Over the last 12 years Ayni Programme has gained an extraordinary reputation amongst people who really want to come to experience deep healing inner work.

“I can safely say if you are looking for a retreat that provides the very best teaching, ANYI is the one. The time, care, sensitivity and experience of Rebecca’s breath work and Jess’s yoga brings a complete fullness and richness in being. I felt absolutely amazing inside and out from my Ayni retreat and would recommend this experience, or any of their other courses, to anyone looking for a reset. Having been on many different retreats over the last 25 years, I believe this is nothing short of world class.” Deborah Thomas, previous AYNI Retreat attendee

About The AYNI Retreat Programme

On the Ayni Retreat Programme each client is embraced in their wholeness and honoured for their unique life journey. By consciously recognising restrictive patterns, thoughts, armouring, beliefs and unprocessed trauma through embodied somatic breathwork, yoga, mindfulness and supporting techniques, participants will gain a greater sense of connection and freedom in their body and mind. Together we will meet the intricate parts that we all carry in various ways throughout our lives. Rebecca and Jess and their experienced team prioritise holding a space for deep healing work and personal development with a gentle and skilled approach to nurture and restore the nervous system.

Often, we carry stories in our body and mind and in this space we will be listening deeply to the subconscious body and the wisdom it carries. Make breakthroughs whilst held in a safe container and begin to make peace whilst discovering tools, inner strength and support to continue your experience on this healing path.

Most of us have experienced mental, emotional or physical trauma on some level, which can restrict our breath and capacity to fully feel. The resulting body armouring and muscular tension can endure and manifest over the years. Life altering events, big and small change our physiology in the brain and nervous system and can create a feeling or disconnect.

Trauma and life experiences have shaped many of us and our lives, it has surfaced in relationships, lifestyle choices, habits and in the body and at times has overwhelmed our ability to cope. The impact of stress and living in uncertain times pervades all the different layers of our humanness and our experience. At Ayni we create a nurturing environment for you to explore, feel present, empowered, safe and connected.

AYNI means balance in the indigenous language of Quechua. In the Andean villages this reciprocity can be tangible or intangible and it is practiced in all aspects of daily life. All things in AYNI, means all things in the right balance whether it be in the environment or our bodies. It is an action and more importantly a way of life that should be understood as the essence which triggers all of our actions.

AYNI shows reciprocity with nature because nature is part of us. It is the source of life and everything that keeps us alive and nurtures us, and it is our duty to reciprocate.

This thinking means we recognise when something is out of balance in the world around us, and we begin by creating balance within us. We heal and realign ourselves within, and then witness the shift around us.

This 3 night, 4 day programme will see you learn and practice cutting edge breathwork techniques, yoga, somatic work, shamanic practices, trauma release, nervous system regulation meditation, sound healing and receive deep body work to supercharge your body’s systems, bring in balance, relax and reboot the body and mind. In between the sessions you can enjoy massage, walks, reflection time and wild swims.

“This retreat feeds the soul and the body. I came away lighter and wiser. It was so much more than I anticipated.”

Helen, previous AYNI Retreat attendee

About Bamboo Yoga Retreat

This retreat centre is truly special. Bamboo Yoga Retreat is on the peaceful and unspoilt beach of Polem in Southern Goa.

Polem is a beautiful secluded beach with a long sweeping crescent of golden sand sheltered by rocky headlands. From the beach you can see a tiny island out to sea and reach other secluded beaches by boat or on foot.

The tranquil retreat is located on the beach close to a small village for the perfect authentic Goan experience and low key nights of music around the beach fire. The more lively areas for a night out are just a short drive away so you can experience all the vibrancy and colourful energy that Goa has to offer.

More Reviews from a previous AYNI Retreat Attendees

“It’s not a ‘relaxing spa weekend’, it’s an active journey of self-exploration and nourishment through breath, movement and bodywork. Healing also happens where healing is needed. Don’t be afraid to go alone. Rebecca and Jess are top of their game and you are placing your most vulnerable self in very safe hands.” Leanne

“There are retreats and then there are AYNI Retreats. I left feeling so much lighter and not having done breathwork before I was blown away by the experience. The combination of Jess’ insightful yoga sessions and Rebecca’s breathwork was incredible – a perfect partnership” Cheryl

“Don’t hesitate; this experience is more than you could imagine. Definitely turn your phone off or have the lowest tech experience possible. This is an incredibly safe space. The love and compassion is incredibly healing so please don’t worry about not knowing anyone.” Katie

SOMATIC EMBODIED BREATHWORK AND BODYWORK

During sessions we will be sharing cutting edge breathwork and somatic healing techniques, observe breathing patterns and use hands-on acupressure, sound, movement, intuitive healing and coaching to help open any restricted patterns clearing physical and emotional tension and blockages.

When the breath is full, open and connected, “activation” occurs creating a high vibrational frequency in the body. This allows lower vibrational energy that is held in our cellular memory such as tension, repressed emotion, mental, emotional and physical trauma, past stories, negative thought patterns held in the subconscious to be integrated.

Discover how your breath is the key to unlocking your full potential. Learn how the way you breathe shapes the way you live. Learn how to harness the power of the mind rather than be ruled by it and reclaim your body and be in the present moment. We will focus on how emotions get stuck in the body and learn about the scientific evidence and research that supports how the nervous system and breath respond to life’s challenges.

* Feel totally invigorated

* Connect with your body’s innate healing abilities

* Gain clarity and learn to let go of emotional blocks

* Release anxiety and alleviate depression

* Open your breath and learn how to reach your full potential

* Experience deep peace and connection

* Develop a new dimension to your yoga and/or spiritual practice

* Feel motivated, peaceful and energized

You will experience the difference between practicing “thinking mode versus feeling mode” and learn effective ways to strengthen your ability to hold attention and discern deeper levels of feeling. Make choices, take action, and create your own rhythm so that the flow of Life and your breath can support you.

YOGA

The yoga sessions will be carefully curated to prepare and support you for the breath sessions. We will open the body, the muscles and tissues associated with our diaphragm and through slow, and thoughtful sequences the mind will also open and quieten allowing us fuller participation.

The morning sessions will involve more movement, inviting in space and for mind and body. The evening sessions will be deeply nourishing and grounding, giving time to journey inwards and process the days experiences.

Sessions will be suitable for all levels of experience and modifications will be given for those that need.

MEDITATION

Yogis have know about the benefits of Meditation for thousands of years and recently scientists have been able to back this up and show how meditation can help us re- wire our brains to work better! Instead of our minds ruling us, we can utilise the power of our minds and direct our thoughts to more positive places. We can feel calmer, clearer, more productive and sleep better amongst other benefits.

We will explore easy, yet powerful ancient techniques, to help cope with the trials of the modern world and find greater inner peace and clarity.
