Radiantly Alive – Summer Solstice Retreat at Paus. Cambridgeshire
Friday, 19th June 2026 at 10am to 6pm / PAUS. Toft Road, Cambridge, CB23 2TT
**New Date* My Spring retreat at Paus sold out in record time, so due to popular demand I’ve added another one!
As we reach the height of the sun and the year’s longest day, I would love for you to join me for a full day of celebration, vitality, and deep nourishment at the beautiful Paus Retreat Centre.
The Summer Solstice is a truly auspicious time. It’s the point of maximum light, a moment when nature is in its fullest expression of beauty and abundance. It is the perfect gateway to check in with our own inner fire, harnessing that vibrant summer energy to feel radiantly awake, alive, and deeply well.
Together, we’ll move, breathe, soak, and celebrate the light—all within the most peaceful rural setting, surrounded by the golden Cambridgeshire fields.

The Power of Heat & Cold Immersion
The dedicated Outdoor Spa Time is an essential part of the day, offering ancient and proven benefits to maximise your physical and mental reset. By moving between the wood-fired hot tubs, the sauna, and the cold plunges, you engage in a powerful cycle known to:
-
Boost Circulation and Detoxification: The intense heat from the sauna causes vasodilation (widening of blood vessels), increasing blood flow and promoting detoxification through sweating. This is excellent for relieving muscle tension and flushing out metabolic waste.
-
Enhance Recovery and Reduce Inflammation: Following the heat with a cold plunge triggers vasoconstriction, then a rapid return to vasodilation. This process, often referred to as “vascular flushing,” can significantly reduce inflammation and soothe sore muscles, complementing your yoga practice.
-
Strengthen Resilience and Mood: Exposure to controlled cold water stimulates the vagus nerve and triggers a release of endorphins and norepinephrine, leading to elevated mood, increased alertness, and improved stress resilience.
-
Deepen Relaxation: The wood-fired hot tubs offer a deeply therapeutic warmth, melting away tension and preparing the mind and body for the deep rest and stillness offered in the latter half of the day.
