Step out of your routine and into the Narnia-like beauty of Wasing Estate.
Do you sometimes feel like you are moving through life on automatic, like things can pass you by? Perhaps you feel low on energy and find it hard to make healthy changes and implement new healthy habits?
This 3 day, 2 night retreat will transport you out of your daily routine and into a weekend dedicated to your wellbeing, designed to help you implement small yet profound changes and shifts to your mindset and daily routines, to help you feel elevated and invite in more joy and energy.
This specially curated retreat features daily Yoga and Somatic movement sessions, Breathwork, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, Sound Baths and Guided Nature Immersions and Cold Water therapy to land in our bodies and soothe our nervous systems.
We will share nourishing Cacao, to help open our hearts and be led through some self-reflection and journaling to help us understand our patterns better and begin to form an intention to move forwards with.
Jess will share some simple but powerful tools that you can easily implement into your lives to create change in mind and body.
Guided nature immersion sessions and silent woodland walks will allow you time to connect and be truly immersed in the healing benefits of the natural world – mindful time spent in nature has been scientifically shown to boost our immune system, improve sleep, increase energy levels, reduce stress, and improve mental wellbeing.
There will be the opportunity to experience an empowering Ice Bath, as well as swim in the invigorating waters of the wild swimming lake, and then rewarm in the wood-fired sauna, featuring picturesque views of the lake and woodlands.
This retreat is fully catered, with delicious home-cooked vegetarian meals provided, gluten free options are available.
VENUE
This retreat will take place in Wasing Estate’s magical woodlands venue, allowing you to be truly immersed in the stunning nature at the heart of Wasing Estate.
The woodlands venue features a stunning yurt for all group sessions, a fully functioning kitchen, clean compost toilets and outdoor electric showers. Delicious meals can be enjoyed around the camp fire or under the covered dining area and there will be plenty of downtime to relax in the surrounding nature.
Wake to the birdsong every morning, with accommodation in cosy bell tents that are single or shared occupancy, and supplied with beds and duvets.
Parts of the site are on uneven ground. Please contact us if you have physical health or mobility difficulties to make sure we can best accommodate your needs.
You will receive a suggested list of what to bring with you within a followup email, ahead of the retreat date.

YOGA
The yoga sessions will be carefully curated to prepare and support you for the breath sessions. We will open the body, the muscles and tissues associated with our diaphragm and through slow, and thoughtful sequences the mind will also open and quieten allowing us fuller participation.
The sessions will involve more movement, inviting in space and for mind and body. Further sessions will be deeply nourishing and grounding, giving time to journey inwards and process the days experiences.
Sessions will be suitable for all levels of experience and modifications will be given for those that need.
MEDITATION
Yogis have know about the benefits of Meditation for thousands of years and recently scientists have been able to back this up and show how meditation can help us re- wire our brains to work better! Instead of our minds ruling us, we can utilise the power of our minds and direct our thoughts to more positive places. We can feel calmer, clearer, more productive and sleep better amongst other benefits.
We will explore easy, yet powerful ancient techniques, to help cope with the trials of the modern world and find greater inner peace and clarity.
COLD WATER IMMERSION & SAUNA
One of the many highlights of Wasing is their beautiful swimming lake and authentic Scandinavian sauna, and we will be making full use if it!
Cold water therapy has become hugely popular in recent years, and for good reason. Benefits include enhancing blood circulation, supporting a strong immune system, reducing inflammation, boosting energy levels and helps balance mental health. And the heat from the sauna only enhances these benefits. Most people report feeling invigorated after a cold plunge, and for many it becomes quite addictive!
NO experience is necessary for this and it’s such an invigorating and empowering experience!
YIN, RESTORATIVE & CRYSTAL SOUNDBATH
The afternoon will be focused purely on relaxation and rest to allow tension and stress to melt away.
Jess will combine the powerful practices of Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and her Crystal bowls to help you reach even deeper levels of relaxation. The slow holds of Yin and Restorative Yoga allow our minds and bodies to let go, give us a chance to find stillness and peace and physically lets us find deeper release in the muscle fascia.
If you have never experiences a soundbath before, you are in for a treat! The vibration of the bowls flow over you and reverberate within your body to really help the final bits of tension let go. You’ll be left feeling unbelievably relaxed and restored!

YOUR HOSTS

TANIA PARK
Massage Therapist and Wellbeing Coordinator at Wasing Estate
Having found huge support in her personal journey through yoga, meditation and breathwork over the last 20 years, she is passionate about holding space for people to enable them to take a pause from the business of life and reconnect to their inner selves.
Tania is currently studying to become a certified Forest Bathing instructor and has a keen interest in providing people with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the healing properties of nature.

JESS HORN
Yoga and Meditation Teacher
Jess is a Senior Yoga Teacher, teaching workshops and leading retreats across the world, a Yoga Teacher Trainer and Teachers Mentor.
Practicing for over 20 years, she has found it to be an empowering, transformational and supportive practice and is passionate about sharing the tools that support her in living a more Empowered and Conscious life, with others
Particularly interested in teaching meditation, movement and mindfulness which she feel’s is so necessary to help deal with the challenges of modern living.
Jess skilfully provides a space where everyone feels comfortable, and can challenge themselves safely, whether they are complete beginners, or more experienced yogis.
Jess is also a fully certified Sound Healer and loves to share the profound and magical experiences of the Alchemy Crystal Bowls
Jess has been featured several times in Yoga Magazine, OM magazine and collaborates regularly with YogaMatters.
